Do you take insurance, and how does that work? 

We are an out-of-network practice and do accept direct reimbursement from insurance carriers. You are responsible for the payment of all services. We will provide a statement after each session that you can submit to your insurance carrier. This statement will contain all the necessary information required for most insurance carriers. Insurance carriers differ as to their coverage. You will need to check with your carrier to determine their reimbursement policy. Filing claims and collecting from your insurance company are your responsibility. Reimbursement from insurance companies should go directly to you.  

To determine if you have mental health coverage through your insurance carrier, the first thing you should do is call them. Check your coverage carefully and make sure you understand their answers. Some helpful questions you can ask them:

• What are my mental health benefits?
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
• How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?
• How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?
• Is approval required from my primary care practitioner?
